What training did you receive at SUPMODE?
I took the Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Model Making and Marketing, with a Marketing specialization in3rd year, preceded by 4 weeks of preparatory classes.
What did you do after graduation?
After graduating in 2017, I continued my studies for 2 years in Paris.
I graduated as Fashion Communication Manager from Atelier Chardon Savard.
Following my end-of-studies internship at ba&sh, I stayed on with them on a freelance contract for a few months, before being recruited on a permanent contract at Comptoir des Cotonniers in March 2020.
What position are you in today? What company are you with?
Today, I'm still working as a graphic designer for Comptoir des Cotonniers, part of the Fast Retailing group.
What is the company's activity?
Comptoir des Cotonniers is a French women's ready-to-wear brand belonging to the Japanese Fast Retailing group (which owns brands such as Uniqlo, Princesse tam tam, Theory, Helmut Lang...).
What are your missions?
My missions are relatively varied.
I'm in charge of managing, creating and adapting all our "print" visual communication media, such as in-store posters/PLVs, campaigns (press and metro), magazines/catalogues, stickers/window decor, product labels, etc., as well as certain digital media, such as newsletters, posts/videos for social network content (FashionJobs, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.).
I'm also in charge of part of our internal communications: press release reports, internal newsletters, graphic charter, presentation templates, brand signature, etc. I work with a lot of different departments, making sure that all our communications are coherent in 360°!
What advice would you give to future fashion students?
I would say to be rigorous and persevering, then constantly curious, about all kinds of news, not necessarily fashion-related.
I also think (and this goes hand in hand with perseverance) that you have to dare, with a capital O. Dare to apply for jobs that may seem unattainable, dare to move to another city for work experience... Dare to apply for jobs that may seem unattainable, dare to move to another city for a work experience... And for jobs like mine, don't be afraid to express your creativity.
