Further information

To enter a Grande Ecole, and particularly our first year, future high school students need to have a valid baccalaureate.
Every year, we recommend that students prepare for their first year of post-baccalaureate studies as early as the start of their final year of high school, at our various events (Open House, Discovery Internships, etc.).

It's also possible to enter the SUPMODE Bachelor's program (state-accredited RNCP title) as a 3rd-year gateway, with a BTS in fashion and apparel for the Design specialization and a more generalist BTS for the Marketing option (BTS Communication, BTS NDRC....) or any other equivalent validated Bac+2 level.

The final year of this state-approved Bachelor's degree is available on a sandwich course basis for the Marketing option only, to give the program's courses a professional focus.

For students wishing to enter the SUPMODE Master's program, in the same way as for a university Master's or MBA, it is imperative to have a certified Bac+3 qualification with the required number of Ects credits.

To prepare our students for the start of their training, we start the year with a 4-week preparatory course designed to bring post-baccalaureate students from different backgrounds up to the same level.

This preparatory cycle enables students to acquire key notions for integration in the first semester, including: visual fashion standards, major art and design trends, the posture of the great designers, as well as applied knowledge, such as the basics of sewing, pattern-making, and even Marketing and Communication.

Once they have passed their Baccalauréat, baccalaureate holders entering supmode must pass their semesters in turn until they obtain their Bachelor's degree.

Creative training courses usually involve a great deal of project work, which provides professional experience even before the first integration into a company.
At SUPMODE, projects are an integral part of the curriculum. Every key concept in the fashion industry is put into practice. For example, the specificities of each type of textile learned in theory classes will be assessed during the first product assembly, when the student justifies and presents the materials selected for his or her creation.

Like a double-diploma program, the Bachelor double-competence Fashion Designer & Brand Development offers students a 360° education through cross-disciplinary courses. These include: general culture, supply-chain, product engineering, entrepreneurship, product design, graphic design, spatial design, visual communication and textile knowledge. All these subjects are coupled with practical experience (sewing, pattern-making, styling, sketching, etc.).

Ultimately, our program is a convergence of two pedagogical models from the grandes écoles: the strategic height of the business school model and the creative pragmatism of the applied arts schools.
This unique program is particularly evident at the end-of-3rd-year presentation, where students (design & marketing) present a complete brand creation project (business plan, silhouettes created, merchandising, launch strategy, advertising elements, brand graphic charter...) to juries in the form of oral presentations.

The range of courses offered in our Bachelor's & Master's programs enables students to tackle different specializations (Fashion Design or Fashion Marketing), while at the same time acquiring a real "hauteur d'esprit", by learning both the designer's and the conceptor's posture. Students can therefore specialize or position themselves in a generalist role in different industries (Fashion, Luxury, Lifestyle...).

We believe that the professional experience of our students is built up immediately after the baccalaureate, notably through internships with companies in initial training, or the development of a professional project as part of a work-study program.
The choice of a work-study program enables the most mature profiles to grasp the specificities of the fashion sector.
As soon as one of our students works in fashion, he or she understands the essence of the dual-skill program, and the specificities of fashion marketing coupled with design.

The question of employability post-graduate school is often raised by families and students themselves, generally motivated by a lack of knowledge of jobs in the sector.

For those who choose to go to a creative school or to one of the art schools (for example: a fashion school, a fine arts school, or a design school...), the variety of possibilities and professions is vast, so this subject takes on a very special importance.

Indeed, it's vital for students to develop their creative identity before projecting themselves onto a fixed career path. That's why, with our Dual Skills Program, we give everyone the opportunity to be in control of their career and free to make their own choices.

Once they have completed their Bachelor's degree, young graduates can choose from a wide range of courses, from fashion schools like SUPMODE, to Master's degrees in management or engineering schools for product development, but also art schools or even more general business schools (for marketing profiles).

Graduating with a Bac+3 degree confers on students the title of Bachelor of Fashion Designer & Brand Development.
This gives them access to positions as : Stylist, Collection Manager, Art Director, Communications & Marketing Manager, Model Maker...).

For students wishing to continue their studies on a Master's cycle after obtaining their Bachelor's degree, SUPMODE, as a national graduate school, offers a Master's degree dedicated to the fashion industry.
The Master's degree, supervised by our teaching team, is based on a core curriculum comprising subjects such as management, corporate strategy, operational marketing strategy, digtial and art direction... Fashion specialties essential for future managerial functions and mastering resource management.

To find out more about the Master's program, download the brochure here.

As a national school specializing in higher education, our duty to educate is not just about the schooling of the creative profiles we recruit, but also about their personal development.
With a view to "deforming" our programs, our main pedagogical focus is on developing the critical thinking and cultural skills of each of the bachelors and masters who join our programs.
To this end, every year our school forges close links with partner universities and international grandes écoles, so that our students can discover the culture of other foreign students and the specialized program for each destination.
On two occasions, SUPMODE has welcomed several international students, promoting cultural exchange.

From design to tailoring, from styling to communications strategy and trend analysis, the apparel sector is rich in subjects to fuel the ambitions of fashion enthusiasts.

Although students generally enter the grandes écoles with the aim of becoming a stylist or fashion designer, the variety of professions in the fashion industry is much wider.

First and foremost, it's important to consider that the choice of market segment is one of the first criteria that will guide daily life in an equivalent position. For example, a stylist with equivalent training will apply his or her knowledge differently if he or she works in haute-couture or ready-to-wear.

The styling professions include all the positions that work on the aesthetic idea of the product and, consequently, its final design.

The garment-making professions focus on the technical production of the garment. Here, we speak of pattern-making and pattern-cutting.

These two families coexist very closely, and are sometimes grouped together under the same job title, that of fashion designer.

Although the job of fashion designer is one of the best known, it often refers to the common field of "fashion design", as it is essential as a creative to know the feasibility constraints of the garment and therefore the subjects linked to pattern-making.

The Fashion Marketing family of professions is central to the stylist team, which often relies on the recommendations of product managers, responsible for studying fashion trends, analyzing fashion shows and providing the necessary recommendations to create the products expected by customers.
