What training did you receive at SUPMODE?
I joined SUPMODE directly in the third year, in parallel admission, for the Bachelor's degree in Fashion Marketing & Design, specializing in Marketing.
How was your year at SUPMODE?
The year was intense and very instructive, and I was lucky enough to have professionals who were very relevant in their field of expertise. We were in small groups, which enabled us to do lots of solo and group projects and interact directly with the professionals.
In which companies did you do your internships? What were your assignments?
I did an internship during my schooling in a premium sales agency, which gave me the opportunity to understand and analyze the market in a concrete way.
My missions were global:
- Organization of a collection sales campaign
- Implementation of a telephone prospecting campaign for multi-brand boutiques, as well as a targeted e-mailing campaign,
- Preparation of a presentation collection,
- Merchandising the showroom according to a brand's sales objectives,
- Customer appointments (choice of models to present, product suggestions and look recommendations)
Why did you choose the Marketing specialization?
I had chosen Marketing as an option, because it made sense to me to know all the tools needed for a brand to develop in the market, while at the same time having a very specialized education in style, communication, digital marketing and luxury goods.
What made the difference with other courses was that I had a global vision of the world of fashion and luxury, with specific options such as catwalk set design and merchandising, in addition to a real apprenticeship in the work of designers and fashion houses in terms of their history, artistic direction and aesthetics.
What do you remember about your time at SUPMODE?
For me, it was a great experience that left its mark on my fashion studies, and I made some very interesting professional encounters.
What are you up to now?
I'm currently Communications Manager for Marithé François Girbaud. It's a great project, since the brand has over 40 years of history and is now present on the market as a collective, distributing its products through ephemeral sales in France and Europe.
I'm in charge of social networks, as well as internal and external communications, and I also work with the artistic director.
What advice would you give to a future SUPMODE student?
You have to put your heart and soul into every project, because once you're in the professional world, it's better to be versatile and know everything about your field.
The world of fashion is a highly competitive environment where you have to make your mark, so it's important to follow your studies conscientiously.
