CESURE A QUEBEC 2022-2023

Quebec

Excursion to Canada

On Thursday January 12, our Bachelor 2 Fashion Marketing & Design students left for Quebec City, Canada.

We flew 12 hours to get there. Thanks to Dominique who was there to welcome us at the Quebec airport and for her kindness. They are now settled in at Campus Notre-Dame de Foy @cndf, where they are taking a two-month gap year to design a tailored jacket.

The program

During these 8 weeks, students will take certain courses in common with Quebec students:

  • 45 hours of shared English with Quebecers
  • 90 hours of model-building with Quebecois
  • 45 hours of Creation & Styling
  • 45 hours of fashion product promotion

Travel to New York

During their break, a 4-day trip to New York is organized alongside the Quebec students (departure Monday January 16 & return Friday January 20). They will have the chance to discover two exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum:

  • Couturissime" exhibition by Thierry Mugler and a permanent collection
  • "Figures of Speech by Virgil Abloh.

They'll visit the Garment District, considered to be New York's largest fashion district. Known as a designer's paradise, SUPMODE & Campus Notre Dame de Foy students are sure to find the fabrics and supplies they need to make their own tailored jacket.

They will also have the chance to visit Première Vision New-York, a showroom where you can discover the trends, inspirations and influences of the coming season.

The students will also visit the Bindle and Keep Studio boutique, where they will be greeted by the designer. Bindle and Keep Studio is a concept store communicating with non-gendered people.

We wish them a wonderful journey, and look forward to seeing them on March 06 and discovering their creations! Enjoy!

Thank you to @cndf for this historic 8-year partnership!
