SUPMODE NICE UNVEILS ITS FIRST TALENTS AT ITS VERY FIRST FASHION SHOW
On May 22, 2026, the rooftop of the OcéaNice was transformed into a fashion runway for one evening. With views of Nice’s Port Lympia and the Mediterranean Sea, more than 400 guests attended the very first SUPMODE Nice Fashion Show (Campus des 11 Arts).
Just a year after the school opened on the French Riviera, this event marked a first for both the students and the entire staff.
A FIRST ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA
On a catwalk set up facing the sea, in the late afternoon light, the first models took to the runway before the eyes of an enthralled audience. Before long, it was almost easy to forget that they were students.
Yet that is precisely what this event is all about. Behind every outfit lie months of work, trials, and sometimes doubts. And for these young designers, it is their first opportunity to showcase their vision to the general public and see their creations worn on a real runway.
DESIGNS BY OUR BACHELOR 1 STUDENTS
For this inaugural edition, first-year students kicked things off. It was a bold choice: to hand the stage over to those who are just beginning their journey, yet already have so much to say.
Two themes guided their collections. The first, “Skirt & Top,” explored the fundamentals of the wardrobe, with each silhouette showcasing the art of cut, volume, and proportion. The second, “Kimono,” invited an exploration of draping, fabric, and the garment as a legacy—a way of connecting the craftsmanship of the atelier to a broader history of fashion.
FROM LYMPIA HARBOR TO THE CANNES MARKETS
The fashion show also featured a highly anticipated highlight: the presentation of exclusive outfits designed for the Banijay Group, inspired by the world of *Totally Spies*. Created by our students, these designs had already graced the runway at the 2026 Canneseries Festival, a sign that the work done at SUPMODE Nice is already making waves far beyond the school’s walls.
WHEN THE ART OF DRESSING BECOMES A SPECTACLE
Fashion wasn’t the only highlight of the evening. At the start of the show, César Boishus’s saxophone accompanied artist Fabris Benjamin as he created a live painting on a kimono designed by Ambre Moutin, one of our students, before Bastien Facq took over at the turntables. This fusion of the arts set the tone and energy for the evening.
Throughout the event, photographers from SUP-PHOTO, videographer Loïc Navarro, and Ludovic Abrigani’s drone captured every moment, illuminated by lighting designed by Société Denay. The evening continued with a cocktail reception, with a glass of Lillet in hand, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
