SUPMODE NICE DRESSES UP THE CANNESERIES PINK CARPET FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF TOTALLY SPIES!
On April 23, 2026, on the Pink Carpet at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, first-year students from SUPMODE Nice unveiled fourteen original designs inspired by the world of Totally Spies! To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the cult series and the premiere of its eighth season, the school partnered with Banijay Kids & Family and Totally Spies! France for a unique project at the intersection of fashion and entertainment.
A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND COLLABORATION
To celebrate a quarter-century of adventures alongside Sam, Clover, and Alex, Banijay Kids & Family and Totally Spies! France set SUPMODE a bold challenge: to give young, up-and-coming designers free rein to create the outfits that would grace the Pink Carpet at Canneseries.
A bold move that places the Bachelor 1 at the heart of a major event and gives rise to fourteen designs, each conceived as a unique vision of a pop universe that has become iconic.
FOURTEEN LOOKS, FOURTEEN VISIONS
Each look offers a personal take on the world of *Spies*: its glamour, its energy, and the style codes of confident female spies. Blending nods to the series with a designer’s vision, the students have taken a universe familiar to all and delivered a decidedly fashion-forward interpretation of it.
From one creation to the next, the designs echo and reinvent one another, allowing this first class to already establish its own identity and signature style.
IN AN ENVIRONMENT SIMILAR TO A REAL DESIGN STUDIO
Beyond the visibility provided by Canneseries, it is the project’s focus on professional development that stands out. Designed as a ten-day immersive workshop, the program placed students in the real-world environment of a creative studio.
Client brief, creative constraints, artistic direction: participants worked like professional designers, adhering to a specific set of specifications. From the research phase to the final production—including sketching, patternmaking, garment construction, model casting, and presentation preparation—the entire creative process was put into action. This comprehensive approach reflects the current demands of the fashion and visual arts industries.
A BACKSTAGE CONVERSATION
Before walking the red carpet, the students met Gaëlle Garcia Diaz, a content creator and huge fan of *Totally Spies!* During a behind-the-scenes interview, the influencer checked out the outfits, chatted with their designers, and shared her thoughts and advice. This was invaluable feedback for these young designers, who were able to see how their work was received by a die-hard fan of the show.
CLIMBING THE STAIRS
The highlight of this collaboration took place on the steps of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. Under the spotlight of the Pink Carpet, the fourteen designs were unveiled in a prestigious setting during the series’ grand anniversary gala, which featured the premiere of two brand-new episodes from Season 8. It was a rare opportunity in the spotlight for these up-and-coming designers.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR PARTNERS
This adventure would not have been possible without the support of those who stood by us. A big thank you to:
