Travel to Paris

From November 20 to 24, Quebec students headed to the world capital of fashion and luxury: Paris. 

 

Students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in this creative and influential environment, where trends come to life.

 

Between prestigious fashion houses, museums and galleries, the city never ceases to offer the Parisian culture that has inspired for so many years. 

Arrival in the City of Light

Their immersion began as soon as they arrived with a tour of the emblematic fashion districts: theAvenue George VAvenue Montaigne, rue Saint Honoré, quartiers luxe , visite Samaritaine...

 

The students then had the opportunity to visit the Giorgia Viola showroom. Giorgia Viola showroom on the prestigious Place Vendôme, illustrating the intimate relationship between fashion and cinema, and once again supporting our theme for the year "art and fashion".


To round off their first day in Paris, they discovered the world of Louis Vuitton at the LV Dream. The exhibition highlights Louis Vuitton's collections and its various artistic collaborations, creating a direct link with their works of art. The exhibition offers a sensory experience through its nine interactive rooms, each dedicated to a different aspect of Louis Vuitton's heritage.

Second day in Paris

On this second day, the students were given free time to explore department stores such as Printemps or the Galeries Lafayetteget inspired by concept stores like MERCI!take advantage of markets or rooftop or enjoy iconic experiences such as the Louis Vuitton Foundation or the carrousel du Louvre.

Third day in the capital

To anchor itself firmly in Parisian culturea key stop was of course the famous bateau-mouche.

 

To confirm Paris as the capital of fashion, we had to visit the Dior exhibitionexhibition, another opportunity to appreciate not only the beauty of the creations, but also the rich history of a house that has left its mark on the fashion world.


This is an opportunity to discover the inner workings of one of the most influential couturiers of the 20th century, highlighting his impact on modern fashion. impact on modern fashion. The scenography of the exhibition is designed to transport visitors into a specific universe, with presentations that always tie in with our annual theme: art and fashion. Each room is carefully arranged to offer a visual experience, while you contemplate iconic dresses, pieces worn by celebrities or artistic collaborations. These creations are a direct testimony to the expertise of the House of Dior.

Weekend in Paris

To round off their stay, the students were treated to a free timeThey were free to enjoy all that the capital has to offer. From Disneyland to the Château de Versailles, the students were able to to immerse themselves in the Parisian experience..
