IRSA x SUPMODE: an inclusive and inspiring collaboration
An emblematic institution
IRSA (Institution Régionale des Sourds et des Aveugles) is a benchmark association based in Bordeaux, operating throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Since its foundation in 1870, it has supported people with sensory, visual and hearing disabilities, promoting their independence and integration.
Self-care: workshops to boost self-esteem and independence
IRSA offers workshops to help young visually impaired women take care of themselves independently. Skin care, make-up, hairdressing and manicure are all practices that help them boost their self-esteem and promote social integration.
An empowering collaboration
This collaboration is under the patronage of Sophie Loubet, Paralympic athlete in para-snowboard and para-wakeboard. Her exceptional career embodies the values of individuality and empowerment that SUPMODE promotes through fashion.
Bachelor 1 students take on the role of Personal Shoppers and put their know-how at the service of these young women. Their mission: to enhance their appearance and, above all, help them regain their self-esteem. They become their visual interpreterstranslating their needs and desires into tailor-made clothing creations.
The importance of touch, color and texture
This project is based on exchange and mutual trust. Through interaction, students learn to develop a new perception of colors and textures, taking into account the constraints and sensitivities of each.
In collaboration with Le Relais Girondethe students source raw materials in an upcycling approach, saving over 80 kg of clothing.
The aim is to compose harmonies of color and texture that take into account the unique perceptions of young visually impaired women. This creative work develops their ability to interpret nuances and materials differently.

An enriching and transformative exchange
This project goes beyond fashion: it's about reciprocal reciprocal sharing. The students offer tailor-made, thoughtful and adapted outfits, while the young women give them a new perspective on design. By exploring new sensory perceptions, the students develop a more refined and inclusive approach to design, enriching their vision of fashion.
At SUPMODEwe believe that each individual is unique, and that fashion should reflect this uniqueness. This project is fully in line with our philosophy: "Shine through your individuality".
