Two months in Thailand, Bachelor 2
On Friday January 13, our Bachelor 2 Fashion Marketing & Design students set off for Bangkok, Thailand.
A veritable fashion hub, thanks in no small part to its geographical position, Bangkok is building its own destiny thanks to an astonishing mix of international brands and ambitious local designers who dream of conquering the fashion world.
The metropolis is gradually establishing itself as one of the world's fashion capitals, alongside Paris, Milan, Tokyo and New York. It hosts Fashion Week, with renowned designers from all over Asia, as well as Western models.
It's a real opportunity for our students to perfect their fashion apprenticeship in this metropolis that holds many surprises in store for them.
Partnership with the CIDI Campus
Our students are welcomed for 6 weeks at theChanapatana International Design Institute to follow a program 100% in English. Founded in 2000, it isone of the first international design schools in Thailand.
The gap year program:
S1: Learn batik and indigo techniques
S2: Learn eco-print techniques (use of leaves and pigments from fruit)
S3: Start on the "Coachella" project (molding, patterns, test prints using methods learned on textiles, purchase of materials.)
S4 : Discovery of Vietnam in HO CHI MINH for 3 days
S5 : Creation of a complete silhouette with an all-over pattern on the theme of the international Coachella festival, where they will apply all the techniques learned during their Césure.
Between all these projects and this new Thai way of life, their trip is punctuated by visits to markets, factories and typical Thai places: temples, waterfalls, islands, beaches.
Our students are due to return from this wonderful experience on March 8. We can't wait to see their Coachella outfits!
