FASHION RACE - OXBOW

Fashion Race - Oral - Oxbow

Presentation of 0 wastage silhouettes & communication strategy

On September 20, students in the Bachelor 3 Fashion Marketing & Design Manager program kicked off their third year with a week-long competition: the Fashion Race, sponsored by Oxbow.

As a reminder, they had one week to create a unisex zero wastage silhouette with Oxbow printed fabric and a communication strategy around this concept. The winning team has the opportunity to spend 3 days in Porto, visiting two Oxbow factories.

Distribution of work between the Marketing & Design departments

The marketing and design students worked and collaborated in teams of 8 to share the tasks:

- The marketers began this challenge by analyzing the 0 wastage market and eco-responsible brands, Oxbow's environment with a consumer study and a study of the competition. They went on to study the brand's history and DNA, its values and graphic charter. They listed the strengths and weaknesses in order to come up with recommendations, identify the problem and meet the brief's expectations. Following the intermediate presentation, they created a communication and marketing plan for the outfits, as well as a merchandising concept for a window display, and finally a teaser video to present their project.

- The designers began by creating a moodboard around 0 wastage and eco-responsibility to find their inspiration and create 6 silhouettes, which they presented at the intermediate oral. They then began designing patterns on Lectra, followed by making prototypes and creating technical files.
