Maïana, French ready-to-wear & accessories brand
Founded in 2020, Maïana is a fashion brand concerned about ongoing climate change and offers clothing and accessories made from eco-responsible materials.
Cloé, the designer, is originally from La Rochelle, and graduated from SUPMODE in Bordeaux in 2021 with a degree in Fashion Marketing and Design.
Cradled by the ocean's waves since childhood, Cloé aims to convey her love of the ocean through her creations.
It pays particular attention to the choice of raw materials and suppliers it works with. The fashion industry is the second most polluting after the oil industry, with 8 million tonnes of plastic ending up in our oceans every year. Cotton, for its part, is extremely water-intensive during production, with up to 19,000 liters of water needed to produce 1 kg of cotton. Every year, 600,000 tonnes of clothing are thrown away in France, which is why it's important to rethink the way clothes are produced.
Maïana offers creations made in France and Portugal from organic cotton, recycled cotton and recycled plastic bottles.
