At SUPMODE, Bachelor 3 - Design students have the opportunity to choose a specialty: Corsetry or Denim. These modules take them through the centuries of fashion.
The Corsetry module is led by Ms Morel, Head of Training, who is an expert in corset making and its cultural history.
This module immerses students in the history of fashion, enabling them to master ancestral techniques while taking into account contemporary requirements.

The secret of an ancestral art
The process of creating a historic corset involves several several meticulous stages :
- Students start with the historical layoutusing the flat cutting method in model making
- The transformations to interpret the sketch validated in styling
- The creation of a canvas and its fitting, with millimeter-accurate adjustments to create a piece that fit
- Finalizing the final pattern
