Sew & Laine - DDP
Our Bachelor 2 Fashion Design & Fashion Marketing students went to discover two of SUPMODE's Bordeaux partners: Sew & Laine and DDP.
DDP, a partner from Bordeaux
DDP, the emblematic sportswear brand of the 90s with its Eggman character, belongs to the La Compagnie BMC group, a Bordeaux-based company founded in 1985.
This textile giant, with 30 years' experience, is based in Bègles.
Sew&Laine, textile and digital fusion
Sew & Laine, founded in 2011, is an association dedicated to handmade and creative products, committed to an eco-responsible and socially responsible approach.
Their latest project? The creation of La Textilerie, a new collaborative space dedicated to innovation and textile design, located on the premises of La Compagnie BMC.
This new kind of space is divided into 3 areas:
- LAB, the innovation hub ;
- PROJECT, the mediation department ;
- SHOP, the project's retail hub.
Immersion in their Bègles premises
This morning's program includes:
- Visit the Textilerie by Sew&Laine ;
- Meeting with the association's managers and presentation of their concept
- Discover the DDP showroom/museum with its vintage style and garages;
- Printed SUPMODE x Sew&Laine tote bag.
A word from Chloé Dreno, SUPMODE consultant
"As part of my course on innovative materials and ethical/ecological fashion, B2 Supmode students discovered the positioning of the Sew&laine association. After a meeting with the association's director Eugènie Da Rocha, who explained the evolution of the structure and its location in Aquitaine, the students were able to visit the premises, handle an ecological ink printer, and print totebags.
This visit allowed us to combine new technologies and ecology.
