Singapore, Asia's new fashion hub
A global financial center, the Smart City's cutting-edge technology and constant innovation have also opened doors to the fashion industry.
Centralizing design, production and export in a single location: an initiative that has helped minimize the carbon footprint of textile factories while becoming an example in terms of organization. In fact, Singapore is ranked first in the world in terms of logistics according to the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index 2018.
Two weeks in Singapore and Malaysia
The trip is supervised by Louise Clément, a fashion professional who has been living in Singapore for the past ten years.
On the program: an off-the-beaten-path tour of Singapore, visits to Malaysian textile factories and fashion shows, but above all 8 days of classes divided into two modules. TaF.TC is well aware that a dual skill set is imperative to progress in the fashion world, and divides the program into design and marketing.
Researching the Asian market
This trip is an opportunity to discover the local market in depth: an art center for young designers, a visit to the Asian Champs Elysées Orchard Road, meetings with designers, jewelers and entrepreneurs explaining how to get started in Asia... in short, a first experience in the global hub of the finance and textile industry.
