Discover screen printing machines
Our Bachelor 2 Fashion Marketing & Design students visited the screen-printing machines of Forevents, an expert in responsible textile personalization.
Aware of the problems of the sector in which we evolve (notably pollution), they select their products according to 3 fundamental criteria:usefulness, durability and origin.
They own 3 machines with different technologies:
- A 12-head embroidery machine
- A digital textile printer that recreates images thanks to a print head that projects thousands of tiny drops of ink onto the fabric. As the ink penetrates directly into the garment's fibers, the visual appearance and feel are relief-free.
- A DTF (Direct To Garment) works with film heat transfer technology: a process for transferring a printed design onto a film which is then applied to the fabric. The film is heated to a high temperature and pressed onto the fabric for a short period.
During the visit, our students were guided by Elise Klein through the various technologies involved in eco-responsible textile screen printing.
