STUDY TRIP TO MILAN 2022-2023

Milan

An immersive & inspiring experience in Milanese culture

For four days, our students in the third year of the Bachelor's degree in Fashion Marketing & Design set off to discover one of the world's fashion capitals: Milan.

  • On the program, a bit ofhistory

The tour begins with a visit to Milan Cathedral, or Duomo di Milano in Italian. Built in 1386, it is the third largest church in the world, after St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome and Seville Cathedral in Spain.

Our students then set off to explore the streets of central Milan, passing
through the Vittorio Emanuele gallery, nicknamed "Milan's living room", and then through the historic
shopping galleries in neo-classical, Baroque style from the 19th century. The most iconic of these is the passageway between Milan's Duomo square, with its cathedral, and La Scala, the famous opera house.

It's the perfect opportunity to extend your discovery within the theater, through stage sets, backstage, costumes and, above all, private ballet training. It's also in these moments that the magic of our study trips lies.

  • After history, it's time for fashion

They then visited Milan's fashion district and the Prada Foundation: an interdisciplinary contemporary art center co-directed by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli since 1995. There, they discovered the exhibitions Recycling Beauty and Atlas. The students quickly made the most of their free time by visiting some of Milan's most emblematic districts, such as Brera, the bohemian artists' quarter, and the contemporary Porta Nuova and City Life districts.

A fashion-focused trip, starting with a visit to Italy's first concept store by fashion expert Carla Sozzani: Corso Como 10, a must-see location dedicated to new trends from the major fashion houses.

The omnipresent atmosphere of Fashion Week and the hunt for fashion shows, with the Prada and Armani catwalks, were moments that encouraged our students' inspiration and creativity.

To round off their stay, they embarked on an hour-long train journey to Como, a town whose charm lies in its Renaissance architecture overlooking the equally famous lake of the same name.

The trip was full of exciting discoveries and creativity, which fed their thirst for adventure.
